Foundations · Structural concrete

Everything above itdepends on this.

The only part of a build nobody can inspect once it is finished. We draw it, dimension it and pour it with our own crew.

The detail

Drawn before it is poured.

This is the section we work from on a typical frost wall. It is also, in order, the sequence the crew builds it in — base, footing, steel, wall, drainage, slab. Scroll to draw it.

The expensive mistakes are all below grade.

A wall that bulges at year six was decided in the first afternoon, in the base and the drainage. That is why our bid has line items your cheapest one does not, and why we would rather lose the job than take those lines out.

Scope

What we take on.

Residential and light commercial. We do not broker crews and we do not take jobs we cannot self-perform.

Laid out from your drawings with control points held through the pour.

Forms braced to the pour rate we actually run, not the one that looks good on paper.

Compacted fill tested at every lift, vapour barrier lapped and sealed.

Tile daylighted or pumped, never simply buried and hoped for.

Assessed honestly — sometimes the answer is a carbon strap, not a rebuild.
